Team News

Research team member Nicole Guevara was awarded prestigious fellowship from The American Psychological Association (APA) Minority Fellowship Program (MFP).

Our research team members presented at the American Psychological Association (APA) annual convention in Washington, D.C.

Our research team members, supervised by Dr. Aileen Torres, received 2020's New jersey Psychological Association (NJPA) Graduate Student Research Award.

Dr. Aileen Torres, team alumni Ryan Puebla, and current team coordinator Gladys Martinez presented at the 2024 LMHANJ conference.

Kimberly Perez-Lucero and Melissa Zea, both entering second year as master’s degree students in clinical and counseling psychology, each received prestigious American Psychological Association (APA) 2022-2023 Minority Fellowship Program awards.

Dr. Aileen Torres received the ‘New Jersey Psychological Association Dr. Stanley Moldawsky Mentor Award’ in 2020.

Angelica Briggs ‘16, who is pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical and Counseling Psychology at William Paterson University, has earned a $10,000 fellowship through the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship Program.

Nafin Elias, who graduated in May with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and minors in Psychology and Sociology, Cum Laude, has been named the 2020 “Outstanding Senior” by the William Paterson University Alumni Association.
